In the latest Student Voice survey from Inside Higher Ed and College Pulse, sponsored by Kaplan, students weigh in on their college admissions experiences, identify changes they noticed in the admissions process due to COVID-19 and offer their thoughts on what changes they’d like to see implemented permanently.
The survey gathers data from 2,001 undergraduate students whose college search and enrollment were impacted by the pandemic and from those who were already in college by spring 2020. Student data was collected from February 23 to March 1, 2022, through the College Pulse mobile app and web portal, and weighted to be nationally representative of two- and four-year college student populations.
● What reason did most students attending four year institutions give as the deciding factor in choosing their college?
● In what way do community college students’ admissions experiences and perspectives differ from their four-year counterparts?
● What can college officials do to better support students throughout the admissions and enrollment lifecycles?
