First-Generation Student Success

Register to get a printable (double-sided letter-sized) PDF of "Supporting First-Generation Students: A Blueprint for Faculty Development and Empowerment," which includes highlights from the First-Generation Student Success survey and details six supports to guide colleges in working with professors to ensure they have the knowledge and tools to support this population of students. These results are from 1,073 undergraduate students, with the survey conducted by Inside Higher Ed and College Pulse with support from Kaplan. Student data was collected in mid-June 2022, through the College Pulse mobile app and web portal, and weighted to be nationally representative of two- and four-year college student populations.
